From AI revenue to margin per camera

Market signal

On September 10, TelecomTV reported AI-Native Telco Index findings: 20 operators prioritize revenue and 28 balance revenue and efficiency. The analysis uses public information on 56 operators; savings remain the most clearly measured financial impact.

What it means for the ISP

For an ISP, scaling requires a service-level profit and loss view. Separating analytics, recording and support revenue prevents internet subscriptions from subsidizing an apparently profitable offer. Installation and equipment must be distinguished from recurring billing.

Recording licensing, storage, power, transport, inference, support and reserves per site supports contribution margin and, separately, results after allocating amortized infrastructure and shared operations. Break-even depends on active sites, package mix and consumption, not just connected cameras.

A 90-day pilot can observe usage, support and margin, plus renewals when they occur. Retention analysis needs comparable customer tenure, segments and commercial terms; lower churn alone does not establish a Horus effect.

How it connects with Horus ISP

Horus ISP connects cameras, video analytics, events, evidence, permissions and apps in multi-tenant operations. The proposal is to map activity to active cameras, retention days, processed minutes and handled cases. Metric availability and export require validation; a ready-made billing module is not assumed.

Customers retain local continuity; the datacenter handles contracted workloads; cloud covers authorized, budgeted functions. Attributing consumption and support by tenant informs pricing, limits and capacity.

Services and packages

  • Per-camera video with defined retention and support.
  • Site analytics with an allowance and usefulness reviews.
  • Extended retention with included volume and overage pricing.
  • Premium continuity with reserved capacity and tested recovery.
