Residential security as a service

Turn existing home cameras into a mobile monitoring, alerting, and neighborhood collaboration experience.

Residential security as a service

Initial situation

A home may already have cameras, but the experience is often fragmented across manufacturer apps, informal access sharing, and recordings that are difficult to review. The ISP provides connectivity without capturing value from the security service running over its network.

Horus solution

Horus enables the ISP to offer residential security as a managed service: mobile viewing, optional recording, alerts, controlled permissions, and selected camera sharing. Customers keep their compatible cameras and gain a unified experience under the operator's offer.

Operational flow

The ISP validates compatible cameras on the local network, activates the home's Horus instance, and enables mobile access. The owner views cameras, receives events, and chooses whether to share selected views with family, neighbors, or a community. Recording and analytics can be added as premium capabilities.

Deployment model

Hybrid deployment across home cameras, ISP connectivity, Horus Cloud, and, when required by the plan, recording or inference resources hosted in the operator's datacenter.

Benefits

  • Monthly value-added service on top of residential connectivity
  • Unified mobile experience for compatible cameras from different brands
  • Shared access without informal password distribution
  • Foundation for recording, community, and smart alerts

Initial situation

Many residential customers already own cameras, but each brand may require a separate app and sharing often depends on passwords sent through messaging apps. For the ISP, those cameras generate traffic without becoming a commercial offer.

Horus solution

The ISP offers a Horus instance associated with the home. Customers can view compatible cameras, receive notifications, manage access, and add recording or analytics according to their plan.

Operational flow

  1. The ISP validates connectivity, credentials, and camera compatibility.
  2. The home receives a Horus instance and the owner configures mobile access.
  3. Authorized cameras are incorporated into a common viewing experience.
  4. The owner defines who can view each camera and for how long.
  5. Horus coordinates mobile views, alerts, and optional recording or AI events.
  6. The service can expand into a community network without replacing the initial installation.

Benefits

  • Simpler mobile monitoring and governed sharing for the home
  • New recurring revenue and greater customer loyalty for the ISP
  • A progressive path toward recording, community plans, and premium alerts
